We are pleased to announce the launch of a new model of SETCON variable speed gearbox: the SETCON SD2.5. It is specifically designed for 2-pole Motors (ca. 3000 rpm) and allows a maximum output speed up to 3500 rpm.

The SETCON SD2.5 is a powerful and efficient solution, particularly well-suited for retrofit projects which include replacing variable speed turbo couplings, supporting up to 2.5 MW of output power.

Exclusive presentation of the newest SE-R model of SETCON variable speed gearbox

SET team was thrilled to welcome our business partners to the SET head office in Klagenfurt. The guests had a unique opportunity to participate in the demonstrative test runs of the SETCON gearbox. The model has shown high performance and energy savings of app. 1 MW on average.

With a rated power of 2-15 MW, SETCON retrofit version is perfectly suited for on-site conditions of a drive train. Due to the matching gearbox footprint, it reduces implementation time and effort substantially. SETCON electro-mechanical design delivers significant energy savings compared to hydraulic couplings, especially in partial loads.
